Pedalboard tone suckage woes

I’ve had bad experiences with pedals like switch blade sucking tone. I fixed (at the time) by using a boss tuner as the first pedal because it is buffered

Probably a dumb Q, but you're powering up the switchblade yeah? Splitting your signal with a passive A/B would surely drop your signal.

Ignore that comment. I googled it and it's a completely passive unit. So yeah, a buffer ahead of the switcher (after the germanium fuzz).
+1 for Boss Tu-2.

Yes plenty of power for the pretty lights. Will experiment more later in the day. Boss TU-3.

It won't drop the signal on A/B switching unless you engage Y or have something on the tuner out

I disconnected the tuner out as the first thing I tested...

Plug your second lead into the tuner out, it should be just in parallel to the input, see if that makes any difference?

Maybe just install a buffer inside the pedal?

switchblade has major tone suckage, have to say. Tuner in front killed it.
Now need to deal to the rest of the pedalboard

I found the Switchblade really bad for tone - I swapped it for a Radial Bigshot ABY which sounds a hell of a lot better.

Yeah I'm switching between normal rig and synth rig, and synth rig is a muck about thing so not wanting to spend big. Tuner in front will do the job for the time being.
