New Nylon Crossover Day.
The GAS has been bubbling for a while, the outcome was inevitable.
This is from Cort's Gold series. That means solid timbers; Pau Ferro back & sides, Mahogany neck, Ebony fingerboard and an aged Englemann Spruce top. All very tasty and built to the same standard found on top Eastmans. I have no issue at all with the best Chinese luthiery these days; it's excellent.
It's a bit like the Lowden in that it demands excellent technique to sound its best but I'm a sucker for punishment. I've had to put the Matsuoka away because the Cort is brand new and doesn't stand a chance against a hard working 50 year old instrument. But I expect it to open up and meantime, it works with AER or Princeton just fine.
Right....Baritone next then I reckon I'm done.
