Novo Guitars
I am plotting a treat for myself next year, and a Novo is on the list of options. Serus J specifically. Financially not doable without selling lots of stuff, but hey we can cross that bridge etc.
Anyone have experience with them? Anyone own them? Can I have a hoon on one?

Re: Novo Guitars
I'm pretty sure Slowy has played Conways and gushed about it, thats pretty high praise in my books, they don't do anything for me looks wise but still interested to feel the hype.

Re: Novo Guitars
I played Conway's. It stopped time. The most wonderful electric guitar I have ever met. I still think about it.robthemac wrote: ↑Mon Dec 25, 2023 8:50 pm I am plotting a treat for myself next year, and a Novo is on the list of options. Serus J specifically. You are planning a Very Good Thing.
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

Re: Novo Guitars
Thanks team. Anyone got anything bad to say?
I'd probably still want to put my hands on one before laying down $7000+.

I am with Chaoz, for that money I make my own
And like Novo I have four letters too in my logo

When faced with quality, I recognise it every time.

Re: Novo Guitars
I would think long and hard before selling many things to buy one thing, especially when you could buy two similar things for the price of that one thing. You could, for example, go to the Rock Shop and try Fender American Pro II guitars, and buy two of them for the price of one Novo.
I really do not understand how a Novo could justify its price.

I'm quite specifically looking for a statement piece. I'm also at a point of having fewer, nicer things rather than more things.Litterick wrote: ↑Wed Dec 27, 2023 12:10 pmI would think long and hard before selling many things to buy one thing, especially when you could buy two similar things for the price of that one thing. I am considering Fender American offsets, but would have to factor in the price/effort of a nitro refinish. Not because I think it's "better", I just hate the feel of poly.
I am also considering used Fender CS offsets.
