Do you know if it would have come with P90s originally?kdawg2a wrote: ↑Thu Jan 18, 2024 11:17 am 1974 LP Deluxe Goldtop. When I got this the previous owner had replaced lots of parts for more modern, high gain style stuff. Luckily he'd kept most of the original bits so it came back together pretty easily. The mini humbuckers aren't to everyones taste but I love them. Great sounding jangle is easily accessible!

Yup, he did this run. Has his sig in the checking below the volume knob, some time shortly after Gibson stopped him from doing this.

Correct. I can still remember reading your FS thread and thinking, “if only.” But hey I’m mildly hopeful that one day it will come back to meBg wrote: ↑Thu Jan 18, 2024 10:57 amMine….MiniForklift wrote: ↑Thu Jan 18, 2024 7:09 am I miss my R8, thanks for reminding me about it Joe! Still the only one I regret letting go of was my ‘93 LP Premium Plus, ended up selling it to Danny and he’s never expressed any interest of relinquishing it

Interesting, the pickup route kinda looks like a P90 could fit therekdawg2a wrote: ↑Thu Jan 18, 2024 12:40 pmThe mini hums are the originals.jeremyb wrote: ↑Thu Jan 18, 2024 12:07 pmDo you know if it would have come with P90s originally?kdawg2a wrote: ↑Thu Jan 18, 2024 11:17 am 1974 LP Deluxe Goldtop. 68 Reissues were only made "correctly" after 2014. All previous ones are basically BBR7 with a maple cap.

Here's mine.
2022 Les Paul Special.
Selected this one because of the grain pattern on the top was quite uniform. However I left it in the sun for a few weeks and it got a bit sunburned with the darker grain coming through. Anyone have this happen to them?

Tube amp and guitar tones straight from 1958… amazing how believable the sounds were back then, even without the modellers...

Re: The Gibson Les Paul Model thread
Dong Hua has that one I think?
When I bought my BBR5 I had to pick between that and a 50th Anni 68 Reissue. Went for the '55 since I always wanted a P90 LPC. When it's time for me a get a '68 the price on post-2014 ones went through the roof due to this anime, so I had to settle with a 2010.
