Re: Hotel California Jam
Erk... PC user with freeware here... Not qualified to answer. The file is MP3 @ constant 320kbs. Could change it to .WAV if you preferred?
Edit... potentially mac friendly uncompressed wav file (63MB) here

A shred solo should work well then!

Man the spark is perfect for this, had the mp3 playing from my phone thru it while I noodled over the top, so good.

We played Hotel Cali last night and I did just flail my way through it semi-sucessfullyCdog wrote: ↑Thu Nov 11, 2021 2:02 pmIkr! Actually its prolly just laziness for me.rickenbackerkid wrote: ↑Thu Nov 11, 2021 1:53 pm I have long wanted to learn this solo. But unfortunately I don't have 9 months of free time.
Maybe learn 1-2 licks, milk them into an 8-bar noodle.... then you could jump in on the jam!

Re: Hotel California Jam
It's a Don Felder masterpiece which I've procrastinated for far too long to pick up the pieces of. Thought I'd blow the dust of my acoustic & start by plugging away at the chord structure, oh dear so rusty. High action, fingertips gone soft.
2024; I have explored the extent of the perimeter dome, there is no escape. I am become Morpheus

Re: Hotel California Jam
Managed to finally get some time to sit down and play, amazing how fast the week goes.
Rig is Ibanez Jem with PAF Pro pickups into a JCM800 patch on the Axe3. Hopefully the link works! Took longer to figure out how to record it than to actually come up with something half decent. Good fun anyway. I will endeavour to figure out how to make it a wav file if anyone needs that.
