Great to see you all. Great gear as usual. Low turn out unfortunately but hey, some weekends just don't work.

We got to find a new venue now.
Yeah, I'm bummed I couldn't make it. I would love to have tried your LP Custom, Grant! I'm keen for you to hear the Reverberocket again now that that ugly hash noise is gone. I've recently discovered (thanks to Phil) that it was made for Filtertrons!

Thanks simon for organising this one....I know we wanted to go out with a bang at decapo but I think a nice cruise of into the sunset was a good way to end it

I was stoked I got to compare my 20watter with the big bro 100W jet city......I think i'm right in saying the big boy was fatter sounding (as you would expect) and the little guy was a bit darker and angrier (as you would also expect...little man syndrome and all).

Got to run my 2 JC's in stereo as well, which sounded great....the low gain of the white one really added girth to the high gainer. Also I think I figured out why my amp sounded better with the effects loop going compared to the 100w..I was running line level rack gear and james was running pedals

Was bummed not to see higainers latest import..maybe next time

and nice to hear grant doing some "shredding" and trem work through the cornford... the dude makes everything sound the way it should

Yes, thanks to Simon for making it happen.
Hopefully we can find a new home for Tronfests.

Unfortunately not :( day was a bit of a train wreck in terms of not going according to plan. On the upside my middle son's tee ball team won their final (thankfully without the near all in parent brawls that have apparently occurred over the previous two years) and my eldest enjoyed his birthday trip to the Warriors game - even though tantrums by his baby and middle brother, and his mum meant that we missed the first half when most of the tries were scored. Was gutted to not catch up with you fellas at the last hurrah for Da Capo though.

As far as future venues go - Si's suggestion of Agora could be a good one. They have a good space there and might even open the cafe if numbers warranted it. As another option, let me have an ask around at Wintec to see if we have any suitable spaces we can use of low/no cost.

Wintec sounds good, esp if it's free

'Twas a small fest, but sometimes that's cool. Cheers to Simon for organising and cooking a mean sausage which I promptly dropped on my shirt like a glutton. Also, your pedalboard is insane. Didn't actually have a go with it, but I'm not sure I have the right class of licence to drive it. It's very tidy though.

Grant's gear was lovely as always. The rescued SG sounds fantastic and totally worth the effort. Easy for me to say, though; I didn't have to restore the fecker! I think the Firebird might be competing with the black Duo Jet for my favourite of your guitars. As usual, I was rubbish at expressing it at the time, but that guitar was superb.

Sorry I couldn't make it! I actually got a call from Gilmore who reminded me about it. Unfortunately I've been flat out painting our house all weekend. Haven't even showered in 3 days, let alone picked up a guitar - sheesh :)

As always, I've never been but I'll try and get to the next one. Perhaps my life will be settled down soonish. Aroha : )

Ok, a couple of comments on some stand out gear.

- TnS's Deluxe Reverb is living proof that Fenders reverb is the best....but,
- also, his reverb pedal (please name) was excellent...
- higainers Les Paul has a great top, figured R8 territory and it felt fantastic, like almost every modern Les Paul I've been lucky enough to handle. And yes, that coil tap sounds very usable
- as usual, I am impressed with willows dedication to making his own gear. It really is remarkable. Hence my remarking.
- Jimi's Strat ( ex BG, ex me) sounded much better than I remembered. But probably due to a complete pickup overhaul! That bridge pickup is a winner. The Greenstones still sounding great.
- Si's space ship pedal board confounded the old man in me (which now has a majority share holding). The Strymon Compressor was the "talent pedal" in the set. The phase 90 very nice too. Rimu Tele very playable.
- Conford! Wow. It's like driving a Ferarri compared my old Model T's!
- we left a space for BG just in case

Actual good fun was had...and again, thanks to Si for all the effort and enthusiasm. I hope to share the load next time.
