Oooh, if there was a nice Marshall quad I could run the AFD100 through, that'd be ace. Then the DT can go through the Blackstar cab. Or maybe I'll bring the Mesa Thiele to save space.

I'm thinking of bringing the AFD100, DT25, and a cab... maybe the amber Wolfgang and my LP.

The missus is getting her hair cut that day, which somehow takes all bloody day, which means she can't double book me for something else.

So anyone wanting a ride down? or wanting a passenger to help pay the gas bill (but not the GAS bill)? Quite happy to be the designated drinker for a change. Only need room for 1 guitar + 1x12 combo.

Capt. Black wrote:I have my Marshall 4x12 fitted with g12Hs. The regular model, not the heritage version with the lower centre of gravity. They're well mature now. Maybe 6-7 years old, so you can hear what they sound like in the future.

Was gonna travel light to Tronfest but happy to bring that down for you to try.
Are they the 55hz? If they are that was the main speaker I wanted to hear, I tried Matts cab with the mix of g12m and g12h but not sure what they are like interdependently... If they are the 55hz, and not too much trouble I would appreciate that!!

I'll be bringing a handwired AC4, the Rhinolux, my Robins and possibly another guitar if I can fit it in.

Hey TM. Mine are the 85hz version. Chosen for classic rockness and because they offset a bit of flubby boom of the B-cab.

ED, that's some kind of digital amp innit? Would sound like shit through this. :P

Sweet as. Yay travelling light! :)

Also jimi, me and Bendy are carpooling. Maybe BG too if we can lure him with beer, far enough up the drive to net him and bundle him in the back of the wagon.
You're welcome to share a ride with us if you wish.

I have a small wagon (therefore small fuel charge) if anyone's really stuck. Pakuranga.

The AFD ain't no digital thang. :P

The missus is coming along to visit her auntie or some such, and unfortunately once the gear goes in the car there won't be that much space left so I can't offer anyone a ride!

AFD. What does the D stand for then?

Looks like the Mighty Purple wagon has full compliment of JAFAs and amps booked for the journey to the netters of the north island.
Superior attitude engaged. Pedal to the metal. (pun intended)
Tronfest here we come!

:congrats:

Might have to man up and give your amp a try this time Ed. Apologies in advance for murdering Mr Brownstone and Sweet Child o' Mine.
