What time? I have a gig the night before so won't be conscious until mid-day. You know what would be mint? If you combined the gearfest with a swapmeet. You keen Vorbis?

OK, sticking close to the usual format the Gearfest will go like this.

12pm - 6pm.

We normally set aside two rooms depending on bookings. One for a sort of show and tell and one for making lots of noise/jamming.
(If any of the industry forum members wish to consider a contribution I can block out the whole place for NZG for the afternoon. In return I can open up the upstairs area and the third rehearsal room for you to set up some demos and display your wares )

My darling wife just told me daylight saving kicks in shortly so that means we'll be cranking up the BBQ out the front of the house. The Manor will put on unhealthy snacks (chips, dips, nuts etc), sausages, bread and maybe some onions for those with a gourmet palate. BYO beer and steaks. Any volunteers to oversee wiener incineration, please contact me.

In a daring move for a gearfest, if anyone fancies putting on a performance with their band or as a solo act then PM me the details and we'll see what we can do.

Of course, after the 'Fest we'll all be off to the Dogs Bollix to see BG and Midnight Blues Band play.
You can all stnd up front and critique their playing and comment on their gats/amps/pedals. (Is BG's Les Paul genuine or a chinese fake?)

This is gonna be a great way to kick off the spring/summer. Woohoo!

Heads up... 18th October, the Manor... lots of great amps, lots of great people, lots of great... erm some sausages on the bbq and lots of beer. But wait, theres more! There's lots of TIME! Even the Tyre-kicker-General Phildo should be able to organise a lift/accomodation/backpackers in 2 weeks!

So either stay an anonymous disconnected geek who just likes to mouth off about gear on an anonymous interweb forum OR come along and meet other anonymous disconnected geeks who just like to mouth off about gear on anonymous interweb forums or drink beer and fall over! Or Both!
