anyway... I met Dylan in 2001 when he was selling a guitar on the trade and exchange, when i went over to his place i stayed for ages (not like me...) and didnt buy the guitar,
i had wondered about the guy i met in 2001,, untill about the tenth song we jamed at the gearfest, i looked over and PING, it was him, the dude i met all thaose years ago
sweet. he was the first auckland muso i had met

...shucks, you guys are way too kind

I thought the calibre of all the muso's I met at this 'fest was very high... Dylan's drumming is superb, as is everything he's doing... - Check out those MP3's he's uploaded on this forum - real tasty stuff.

I'm guessing it was the Sarge's Black Yamaha 335 style guitar I was playing at one point there - that thing had a real John Lee Hooker vibe to it...

BG's latest score - a 50Watt hod-rodded Laney tube combo - that thing is a sleeper for sure...
Of course it helps to have a primo LP with custom pickups playing through it... 8)

DC - a real solid guy with solid tones and tasty chops.

(I'm Looking foward to checking the Midnight Blues band)

All round a choice event - Cheers and much respect to Captain Black for putting up with us all!!

Darcy Perry should be proud!!

FuzZiebRo is not GOD, he's just a very naughty boy! ;)

Yo Fuzz, the Sarges' Yammy is pretty bloody nice isn't it. Can't agree more with you about Dylan. He can play anything and put most of us to shame.

Before you guys got there I heard BG composing a new blues number. Went something like...

The day's so cold and rainy
My liver's old and pain-ey
But its ok, I've got my Laney
It's really fuken gain-ey

Needs some work but he could be on to something... or just on something. ;)

Talented so-and-so, isn't he? Probably the best thing that's ever happened to me musically was Dylan switching schools - which is how he and I met. He's always pushed me to do more, and managed to get something better out of me - whether that be singing, playing, or composing.

...oops, this is starting to read like a Dylan worship thread :P

Of course it's gain-y - it's a Laney ;)

Now you just need to play one of your Ibani through it and sing: "I-banez, and Laney amps are the coolest. All day, and all of the night" :P

His guitar is an Ibanez he scored from Kristie. Beautiful guitar in that Ibanez-ey kinda way. Thought I'd have a go on it and immediately find myself shredding, pinching harmonics and generally hamming it up like I've been possessed by Tsuken.

lol, knew it would get to you, Ibanez always does in the end :p

glad I could convert a few onto the crate powerblock too. I'm still loving that amp.
AFK.
