I'm no longer in Chch, but I reckon that bloody old women's hall thing we practiced at for the covers band would be a good venue Mark.

Yeah might be. I'm not too sure how easy it is to be allowed in to though.
I think the singer had to do a lot of bribing for us to be able to use it.

I'm sure we'll be able to figure something out.

I'd be a starter, I can't play to save myself or have much in the way of gear being a born again beginner, and as long as its not the weekend of the 10th or 17th

Who cares, it's all about shredding badly or playing tired old blues licks anyway, and it'd be fun just to play gear you've never tried.

Cool, so looks like a great venue with drumkit is quite likely.
