I'm no longer in Chch, but I reckon that bloody old women's hall thing we practiced at for the covers band would be a good venue Mark.

Yeah might be. I'm not too sure how easy it is to be allowed in to though.slash-ed wrote:I'm no longer in Chch, but I reckon that bloody old women's hall thing we practiced at for the covers band would be a good venue Mark.
I think the singer had to do a lot of bribing for us to be able to use it.
I'm sure we'll be able to figure something out.

Re: Chch Gear fest / Get together..
I'd be a starter, I can't play to save myself or have much in the way of gear being a born again beginner, and as long as its not the weekend of the 10th or 17th

Who cares, it's all about shredding badly or playing tired old blues licks anyway, and it'd be fun just to play gear you've never tried.jeremyb wrote:I'd be a starter, I can't play to save myself or have much in the way of gear being a born again beginner, and as long as its not the weekend of the 10th or 17th

Re: Chch Gear fest / Get together..
Cool, so looks like a great venue with drumkit is quite likely.
So, now we just need to build up some numbers and argue about what day it should be on.

Re: Chch Gear fest / Get together..
I'd be interested subject to not having a clash of dates with anything the Mrs. has arranged (so watch out for Mothers Day)
I'd love to meet up with fellow guitarists as I'm dying to chat about where to take my playing next (If I don't muster up the effort and post it in the learning threads).
I can bring
Ash Radian SG Jnr
Zakk Wylde Epi with EMGs
MIM Strat
and a Marshall TSL601 along with a selection of overdrive/distortion pedals
