Capt. Black wrote:OK I've got some dates and availability for Corban Estate Arts Centre.
I've pencil booked them pending herding you cats into coming to some consensus. (My god, just the thought of that gives me a headache )
First, the venue.
The best space to base things around is the old winery cellar and shop. It's fairly underground so it shouldn't cause problems with sound. The old bar/counter is still there. The room kind of dog-legs around a corner.
Attached to this is a small theatrette. Through a door and down a gentle set of stairs to a stage where some amps and stuff could be set up. This gives us two areas. The theatrette has a doorway out to the rear car-park which is best suited for load in and out.
The cost for these two spaces is $15/Hr. Cheap!
Next to the Cellar building is the old family homestead which has another room available and a large covered verandah. It's separate but close enough to the side door of the theatrette and means we could have a third space for people to spread out too and if the weather is shit, we can still have a bbq on the verandah.
This space is also $15/Hr
There's heaps of parking around the grounds and some interesting features if you want to go for a romantic stroll or get a taste of westie history.
The available dates are as follows.
Sunday 5th August. Cellar/Theatre and Lower Homestead space if we want it.
Sat 11th August. Cellar/Theatre
Sunday 19th August. Cellar/Theatre
So time to decide, would you like it here? Which date is best for most? Are you happy with the cost?
OK cats, start herding.
You did see that there was no dressing room, didn't you ?BG wrote:awesome, only the 19th works for me. and its all about me.

Star on the bog door? You could probably have the ladies room to yourself since we all know what a sausage fest these things usually are (both attendees and menu).BG wrote:I'm willing to rough it on this occasion...

I looked on the map and the west is too far for me.
Sounds good Captain and has more vibe that the Torbay hall. Do they serve Guinness at the bar?
