No amps? But how will we make ourselves heard over the top of everyone else who is trying to play at the same time, in unrelated (and clashing) keys?

Yep. Got one.
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

Let's revel in the acousticness.
Will have to have a glowing hot fire bottle tube amp volume fest at a latter date to compensate for this.

Yes please, that would be great. Then we can figure out which one is least objectionable. Oratia, Greenhithe or Henderson (Corbans).
As of yesterday the 4th October was still free. Email quote was for $25 per hour plus $200 bond. Doesn't match the web site pricing so asked for clarification.

Website shows a couple of hall pics:

When faced with quality, I recognise it every time.

Clarified: $25 per hour, so assuming from noon till 5pm makes it $125 plus $100 bond. Obviously place need to be cleaned up after use.

If we can get 10 to attend as a minimum then that works out as $2.50 per person per hour. That's cheaper than being in the pub and you will be having a better time.
When faced with quality, I recognise it every time.

Cheers jvpp! That sounds pretty good.

I'm still keen to see if there's a more central option, only because Oratia might be a bit far for some and may limit the numbers.
