Tronfest 19th September! - the best fest

Post by SimpleSi »

Matman has worked out that the city campus for WINTEC's music department is letting us use the premises for our gear fest.

Having done music at wintec i can vouch for the rooms being good, but also cold haha..

the dates that is booked for us is 19th September 2015.

Confirmed and booked.

Same rules apply, BYO drinks and gear,
Sizzlers and bread and couple bottles of cola provided.

Bring at least a gold coin or more to donate if you can, myself or Willow will sort it out so that food gets covered and whatever is left over goes to NZ guitars.

Cheers to Matman for saving the Tronfest :)

Simon

19th September 2015
10am-5pm

Parking between S and R blocks. Wintec city campus. Off Collingwood St.

We will be in S block.

Obviously I can do either date (and being responsible for the booking gives me an awesome excuse to stay for the whole time for once)!

Yeah, didn't you only just finish unloading your car after the last one?....... haha
Unfortunately, due to gig bookings, and the slightly shorter time frame I don't think I'll be able to make either date sorry. Not to worry though, all I've bought since the last one is about 6 packets of strings so no one's missing much.

Yup, they'll pelt you with biscotti and duck you in cappuccino foam until you leave.

yeah this or maybe september. I think 3 fests a year is probably a good number, but needs to be balanced with what happens in auckland given at least half the people who go to the tron ones are from auckland

The windows of opportunity when the rooms are readily available are during the times when there are no students using them so that means a small mid-year window from 26 June -20 July (which is what we were aiming for here) and a long period between the end of Nov to mid Feb next year . There's also a mid-semester break from14-25 September so Saturday 19th would be our next sure opportunity if we wanted to use Wintec.
