The last time I went to the local we were part of a fancy dress party - Nerds themed. We noisily came crashing through the doors and everyone one in the bar was frozen, staring at us...I sobered up fast.

I'm not entirely serious as Good George has been known to set up a caravan serving their finest outside one of the pubs there, so the locals certainly aren't averse to pint or two of "the posh stuff".

But at the same time I've heard enough interesting stories about the pub on the corner closest to the river (Drake Hotel?) that are enough to stop me wanting to ever go in...
