Molly, that Strat sounded wonderful but your Tele felt and played perfectly. I can't remember what the neck pickup sounded like, but the bridge was filthy.
Tin arse!!

Hey team
If I booked a permanent slot at that venue who might be keen to come in and play?
TG and Gary are keen
Big issue for me is time management as I'm basically 60 hr weeks from daylight savings now.
Cheers

Even though I missed the Gearfest I might be keen on that, I've been wanting to learn how to play with others so if you've space for a novice who needs a guiding hand** let me know

At the risk of turning this into a classroom, I'm also keen to learn to play with others.

I'd be keen but it's always going to be subject to family stuff and the Mrs being on-call.foal30 wrote:Hey team

Are you using it out front or in a loop? Any tips?codedog wrote:That'd be me!GrantB wrote:Who has the Surf Rider Reverb?

Re: Christchurch Gearfest - September 22nd 2018
I only have oleg's hippie amp so it's all going in front. I only use it for mild warm reverb that comes close-ish to a builtin spring amp reverb. It's not that great if you're after surf sound. Their attempt at "drip" just comes out more like a slapback. I keep the toggle switch in the middle to avoid the drip. Having the boost is great to kick in a big, almost ambient, reverb.GrantB wrote:Are you using it out front or in a loop? Have you seen RJ Ronquillo's demos on YT? There were some really useful non-surf settings there, along with some very nice surf demos too.
