I've been meaning to post this for awhile...
Hey, Just thought you guys would like to see my Dads 1959 LC-7.
This is the only picture I can find right at the moment, but when the camera decides to work I'll get some more if you're interested!
(not the greatest picture of me or the guitar haha, but it'll have to do for now )

It sounds great!
It needs a re-fret on the upper-frets but I think we're gonna leave it all original.
He's gonna keep it, he's had offers of 6-7kNZ a few times, he put it up on ebay with a 10kus BIN just to see what happened and it got near the reserve, but it pulled it

Keep it in the family mate, seriously. Just keep passing it along to your kids, then your kids kids etc.wh15p3r wrote:It sounds great!

I good partial refret would be unoticable and would restore its playability....talk to the board luthiers about it. It's always easy with Gibbo's but a partial refret should be OK (nibs intact etc etc). Can't stand to see a guitar not playable. I think even if I had a Les Paul Standard from 1960 with highly figured top and it needed a refret I would do it.....wh15p3r wrote:It sounds great!

it isn't unplayable, but they're just abit flat and low at the higher end.*UNIQUE* wrote:I good partial refret would be unoticable and would restore its playability....talk to the board luthiers about it. Yeah, It's my computers fault too.
It's the digital one too, it's real old and has an eating problem where it eats batteries way too fast.

There's Dad, just to prove I haven't stolen it or anything.
Finally got the camera, it's been hiding around the house every time I had any need for it.
I have found it now, I am happy.
