Wow, that is very clean isn't it. Funny how the body has been repainted all of those times, but the neck is so tidy looking.

Nice!

Something about those mint green pickguards...
Larrivee 00 Acoustic. FAV Strat for electric. Ibanez SDGR5 for bass. Push for Ableton. When not doing that, 3D CAD for tunnels...

i'll let you in on a bit of a trade secret here.... you take the neck off when you refinish the body.

there..... you can 'ave that one for nothing!

seriously tho... bought a heat gun for my poly job this afternoon... what an absolute dream. 20 mins all up... bit of a sand and voila

then i saw the the joins!.. im going for an oil finish...shoulda just sanded a key then refinished in another colour.. still... onwards and upwards

it's an early squier precision from about 83 or something... fantastic neck and plays and sounds beautifully.. stunning bass.. best in shop when i bought it in early 90's... not cheap either... relatively ..

and as we all know .. all black guitars look shit ..so...

The 61 Black Strat that I'd owned since 73 and sold a while ago had the same colour remnants beneath the black. I've always believed that once the Shadows slipped from popularity many of the Fiesta Red guitars were given oversprays by local distributors in order to shift them.

Great job on the refinish.

What you can't see just yet is the subtle relic'ing I'm doing....

That guard is a problem at the neck pickup end...Stratitus due to magnet being too close. Can't lower any more due to lifted guard. Replacement being considered.
