The kalamazoos are now highly "sort" after.

Keep an eye out if you are in the Welly area - there was a Kalamazoo brand LG 0 style (? - sort of - had a really big arse) from the 1930's in Kiwi music a few years back. Did not go for it as no truss rod and the neck was bent but nice sound. Sadly Kiwi music are noi more but the owner used to run Valve bar in Vivian street and might recall what eventually happened to it.
