Change my Fender style footswitch

Post by otisredding »

I'm wondering if anyone out there in NZG land could build me a two button footswitch to replace my Fender-style one like this?
rca fs.jpg
What I want is something more robust with the two switches further apart and a socket rather than hardwired so I can attach the switch to my pedalboard and just attach the cable from the amp when I play. Also want to change the cable from the pissy plastic shite that Fender supply to something decent and malleable..

Can it be done with this style of pedal??? Can't see why not but never seen it.....

Any ideas? 8)

cheers but...
Not convinced those switches on that are in the right place for me too far forward and not far enough apart.... I want something more like this:
LOL without the Marshall branding

with quality switches and a single stereo socket out the back or side so I can use a good stereo cable and terminate with good rcas.

Parts alone would cost maybe $60 if you got from jaycar or similar, Rocky might have a cheaper source, would be trivial to build :)
How can I be sure I'm here?
The pills that I've been taking confuse me...

this.
cheaper probably, even from jaycar.
3pdt switch X2 @ $15 each = $30
housing ~$15
stereo jack ~$5

if you wanted a lead made up, that'd be the extra.. lead + plugs at each end.. personally I'd hit up Ryan for a freedom cable custom in that case.. he could prolly do the rest too, but with higher quality parts ergo more price, but considering the level you're gigging and not afraid of high quality stuff that'd be a good start.
happy to solder stuff together if Ryan's not in for it.

With Rocky doing it you get the awesome paint job and if needed you could get LEDs which may or may not be useful to you.
Ok I got rid of my Foal quote, but I found a new one.
