Weeheeee it's Xmas!

Aye he is stupidly talented! It was a collaborative effort though ....I spent all of about 10 minutes designing the logo bit (can give font deets if needed) and he spent godknowshowmanyhours building the thing. The inside is where the true work of art is on display! The neatness of those cables is unreal. Pro!

The bass dial is a deviation from the regular (and probably my favourite dirt pedal ever) Distortron/Box of Rock circuit. I loved Corey's Distortron clone (keepin' it) but felt the bass "more/less" switch from Zvex's design wasn't flexible enough... Even with the bass switch low and the tone dial high it was still pretty damn bassy on humbuckers with the gain up. So I wanted to be able to cut the bass even more and dial it in anywhere inbetween. Corey figured out how to work it into the circuit in the best place and voila we now have tone and low end control... sort of Timmy-esque versatility.

The switchable (much revered Klon) buffer was a last minute addition - but definitely something more builders should get into. Our idea is it gives you better options with where you can place the pedal on the board, including very last (since the pedal is so amp-like) feeding the amp cable. I'm going to try the buffer in different spots and see how it effects bypass tone and see how the other dirt pedals react to buffers before them. Flicking the buffer switch on/off will be like an instant A/B test.

Cheers bruv, think I'm gonna have to do some clips. I guess... I have never shown my board/amps/gats before and I'm pretty shy with my guitar chops (all rock rhythm, can't play lead and have absolutely zero blues noodle skills) - but now might be a good time : )

PS Jeremy, what is the point in having a muff if you don't open it up and get inside it! *smirk*. That triangle Big Muff Pi is a keeper for defs, thanks bro actually that slightly larger enclosure you built it into is what gave Corey and I the idea to build the Distortro Deluxe in one of those boxes too - it meant that the jacks can be on top to save board space.
