Adhesive for large electrolytic caps
Just wondering what product the amp techs are using to adhere large electrolytic capacitors together to damp vibration? It's usually white rubbery (silicone?) flexible stuff!

Ordinary silicone sealant is good, the clear stuff looks a bit tidier.

Ta, I was reading that it contains substances that are corrosive (to copper tracks etc) - there is an "electrical" silicon but I can't find any! Cheers.sizzlingbadger wrote: ↑Mon Mar 28, 2022 8:11 am Ordinary silicone sealant is good, the clear stuff looks a bit tidier.

I use f2. If using silicon, you'd want neutral cure. The regular stuff gives off acetic acid, contributing to corrosion.
(Edit, didn't read JBs advice above before posting. He's right)
