Wow you can injection-mould at home?
Too many guitars, not enough talent.

Re: show us your home made pedals
not bad Single Coil, but I would never have put those reflectors on there, and to be honest the overall look is a bit $10 and not too boutique, which is surely what we go for in the land of DIY.
what kind of bearings are in there? sealed or loose. I prefer loose, but I think the sealed ones hold up to the winter weather better.
since you can mould, any chance of knocking out some custom knobs?

That sounds a little bit rude.

I don't think I have a reaction picture for that.

Re: show us your home made pedals
I heard that the Mid Amber reflector panels were massively different from the Light Amber ones.. can you confirm this? Man I'm so GASing for a vintage pre-1972 mudguard. I'll post pics of my new spokes soon - they're great.

Hope you're using the right rims. True pedallers use solid rims, not this new pneumatic nonsense. It just does't have the right feel.

Re: show us your home made pedals
i'm going guradless, can't find one that suits.
So hard to get a good set of pedals in black though, if only i had a cnc, router and some know how.
i did score some levers in black from ebay tho, looks mean on.
also found a place doing anodised alloy bolts got some mean black ones. looking very stealth

Agreed. Pneumatic rims are cold and sterile, IMO, YMMV. Solid rims just have a sweet, organic chime to them. I only use NOS.alanp wrote:Hope you're using the right rims. True pedallers use solid rims, not this new pneumatic nonsense. It just does't have the right feel.
I recently replaced all of the screws/bolts on my 1962 CX235-B BMX (serial number 0003!) with refurbished German tank metal. I noticed the difference right away... way more expressive on ramps and street riding is much smoother now.

Re: show us your home made pedals

But just to add to the general tomfuckery I have created, yes I do have solid rims and neither kinds of my pedals are plastic.

If you are going guardless, for the love of god stay out of the mud.

Re: show us your home made pedals
Thought I'd share a few projects I've been working on..

This is a compressor I've been building. I just need to do some programming to finish it... i'm so surprised it worked first time!

And this is a trem, having a few issues which at the moment but I can hopefully sort them out..

And a guitar headphone amp...
