They didn’t describe a sound, they just said they couldn’t get it to sound like the fuzz on the video. Hence my request for more a video with more details.

What? The pedal didn't sound the same as your demo with a completely different guitar and amp? Shocking.

I'm not condoning their behaviour, but as others have said, he's probably a young player with limited experiment in terms of gear. I think we've all fell in love with a pedal at some point after seeing a clip online only to be disappointed that it didn't sound like it did in Pete Thorn's demo.

So I emailed 3 days ago with a polite
“How is the pedal going? Thought I would just check in”
To which I’ve had no reply again.
I’m assuming they have decided to leave it but who knows.

That's all you can do. Put the ball in their court and be open to discussion and have a willingness to help.
