Re: Whats on your amp workbench?
I like eyelet boards for Fender amps because they are traditional for these amps. Turret boards are a bit easier to work with and always look neater to my eye.

Re: Whats on your amp workbench?
My Trinity TC15 chassis is complete and tested. Valves installed, all voltages within tolerance and the VRM provides B+ from 80V to 380V. Didn't realise until testing that it's also got a "Pull Master Volume" control. Got the 2yo grandy here at the moment so only had it quiet, but looking forward to cranking it when no-one's home! This one should be Vox and Matchless goodness. Will also break in my brand new Celestion Alnico Blue (not Gold) on the Variac when the time is right.

Would have loved a Voxish looking combo but this amp chassis won't suit. So likely a head. Will discuss with the cabmeister (BG) soon...Cdog wrote:Beautiful. What manner of cabinetry shall we see, I wonder ?
Here's an example.

When faced with quality, I recognise it every time.

Mmmm, that looks rather nice, Mike. Next time you're in Greenlane at BG's place you should pop around the corner to me in Remuera and try that amp through my Alnico Cream (the best Alnico of them all).Mike Clayton wrote:My Trinity TC15 chassis is complete and tested. Re: Whats on your amp workbench?
us remmers folk should be banding together to build that wall! not quibbling over areas of remmers.
How willow got through the barrier last week is beyond me, maybe a drone or a tunnel. we need a big beudiful wall, made of concrete.
