Rebuilt tone generator, replacing leaky TCC caps with mustards or polyesters. Pig to work on.
Key mechanisms reglued and keyboard reassembled.
Amp recapped. Enough for today, some testing tomorrow
Getting closer to this . . .

Man, that is a Labour of Love if there ever was one...
Worth a single handclap
Worth a single handclap

When faced with quality, I recognise it every time.

Is that like a golf clap? Not that I know if thats a good thing or a bad thing. I should google it.
Like a mic drop, ok so you've said something so awesome that you can drop the mic on the floor for a big 'plosive BOOM. Do you pay for a new mic, because you fucking should!
Anyway I digress.

AC30 head recover. Didn't want to be in the workshop today, too bloody cold, such changeable weather I couldn't do the outside workshop ( I stoke up the chimenea with off cuts ) but sorted anyway. Removing old glue is a big PITA but I learned the hard way it needs to go. Still turned into a 5 hour job from a 2 hour job.
Mr Strummers you are now at the head of the queue. I'll check your drawings then fire up autocad

Was a beat up handwired head, came with the tolex gone but 90 percent of old glue still there. It’s almost easier to make a new cab.

It's a shame that the PT are all 110v, so need to be run with stepdowns.
I probably have more of these than I'll ever use. If anyone wants a go at modifying one, I'd sell one for $100 plus courier and $20 forum donation.

He dropped the new grill cloth today, 2 hour turn around... was setting up my bass in between the horrible removal of staples. I have the right tools and its still a big fucking pain in the arse!

Can I put my hand up for one? Be a few weeks before I have cash thanks to vets bills, but if you can put my name on one!PaulWD wrote: ↑Sat Aug 13, 2022 1:13 pm IMG_20220813_125829.jpg
I did a wee stock take of projector amps floating around the garage. They range in date from prewar to mid 60s. Pp 6v6, turn nicely into nice little ampeg j12 or 5c3 things.
