Re: Marshall 1974 build
It does look nice, even for green. The bare wood at the bottom edge looks good with green, I think a green/cream two tone look would be nice on a cab.
Tube amp and guitar tones straight from 1958… amazing how believable the sounds were back then, even without the modellers...

I think you're right. I keep meaning to rebuild my Bombardier (1974x x2 26 watter) I might go green/creamsizzlingbadger wrote: ↑Sun Apr 24, 2022 4:35 pm It does look nice, even for green. Re: Marshall 1974 build
its been in bits for many years
done a search and pics no longer exist. but 36watt kit in a 2x12 greenback combo, with a 2x12 classic 30 extension cab underneath.
It was pretty mental.

Bums...I like mental...36 watter as in stereo 18 watters or 4 x EL84 mono? In a head? Was it otherwise the 1974 circuit (2 channel with single tone pots and tremolo)?

Re: Marshall 1974 build
Can you fit a 2 x 10" baffle in the cab? Wouldn't make it too much heavier (one of the cool things about a 1974) and the extra squares would add to the bottom end extension yet still have an edge and fast attack for snarling cut through...just sayin'

I already have a 2x10 combo which is shortly about to become a Deluxe Reverb.
