Spread the knobs out! and horizontal inputs. Vote cast!

Re: Prototype Amp 10w SE
Haha thanks! The knobs are actually quite spaced. Just using the standard dumble type knob (29mm) in the template but I don't think I'll be using these knobs.

Both look good... But I voted option 2. Had to load this page in desktop mode, my phone browser truncated the pics

Re: Prototype Amp 10w SE
Hi All,
Regarding reverb placement on an SE amp, Since it's a high gain amp, i'm thinking of adding a simple reverb circuit just after the preamp and before the power tube.
Has anyone added reverb just after the MV and before the power? I'm thinking of using robinette's two tube circuit tapped into the B+ connected to the last preamp tube. Any thoughts on these?

Re: Prototype Amp 10w SE
Hey guys, Thanks for the vote,
I went ahead with option 2.
This weekend parts arrived so I processed the chassis, board and mounted the parts (without solder) this sunday.
I also recently just got a solid core wire. Now the question is, 1. should I hook the preamp wires under the turret or 2. to the side of the turret vintage style.
Option 1
Option 2
Rest of the process below. Old phone sorry:

Perhaps an FX loop would be more flexible ?Marshmallow wrote: ↑Wed Jun 01, 2022 2:24 pm Hi All,

Tube amp and guitar tones straight from 1958… amazing how believable the sounds were back then, even without the modellers...

I've been looking into this stuff today, a person suggested to use a dual triode for my next build to make up for the missing inverter.. Add depth control and presence etc.

Re: Prototype Amp 10w SE
I prefer FX loops pre master volume. It keeps the amp quieter at lower volumes and makes using looper/ drum pedals easier as you control their output along with the guitar signal.
