Wierd switch?
I have this switch in the Washburn, which is wired... But appears to do nothing... At all.
Its a 2 way switch with 6 points on the back, 3 on either side. Its been wired with the left side in the middle, with one wire, going from there to the bridge volume in the middle point. Then, at the top on the left side, the switch is wired from the top left, to the bottom and middle right.
What the heck is this sposed to besides put a hole in the guitar? If it does nothing ill wire it for killswitch. Not for the kill effect, just to kill the volume between songs..
is this some bullshit wiring job? Looks normal else where though..

Re: Wierd switch?
Try turning the volume right down and then flick the switch. Does it bypass the volume?

Killswitch?
You should put something cool in there, like use it as a switch to activate a midrange boost or something (or if you wanna do Dimebag proud, mid scoop ) You could use it to coil-split your pickups if they're 4 conductor but then again they might only be 2 conductor.

Re: Wierd switch?
Wire it up to control a front of stage pyrotechnics display.

Re: Wierd switch?
As it is, that does nothing. It probably once had other wires going to other places that turns the bridge pickup on despite what the pickup selector is doing.
If you run a wire from the bottom left terminal to the back of the volume pot is will become a kill switch.

But will this be only for the bridge pickup however?ash wrote:As it is, that does nothing. It probably once had other wires going to other places that turns the bridge pickup on despite what the pickup selector is doing.
