Its pretty easy to DIY: draw/print shape>make template with jigsaw > trim PG sheet close to size with jigsaw> doubleside tape PG to template and rout with bevel bit.
PG blanks are $30ish from guitarparts.co.nz and you'll have plenty left over for other things.

Re: Who can make a pickguard?
When I needed a new (custom) pickguard I took the job to an engravers. They CADed it up; used the original pickguard as a basic template and changed it to how I wanted it. Came out primo.
Bloody expensive though! Didn't get much change from $60 if I remember (was told that was mostly 'cause of programming the design in, would be a lot cheaper if I needed any extra copies (plans saved)). But needed it pretty quick and couldn't be bothered shopping around.

F*ck I thought I was tight... when you pay $40 for a stock mass produced item pumped out by the thousands. Just consider what it's worth for a custom one off that someone spent time on plus overheads. I wouldn't even get out of bed to make that for $60, the dude did you a favour IMO.

D'oh!
*blush*
Shamed out!
lol
Good price was it? Ah, sweet as then. Only time I've had something like that made up, and (up to that point) hadn't really paid for any guitar work before. So *hand up* yeah, I'm totally clueless when it comes to the price of that sorta stuff.
That being the case, you want the name of the place dude? (In Hammy) Like I said, they did a primo job. If you're worried about it fitting just be sure to give them your current pickguard to use as a template. (Won't be able to use mine, trust me, lol, *unique*) The dude that actually did it for me was a keen gat-man as well, so he'll sort ya out sweet.

Yes, I can do it.Swoop wrote: I just want a guard constructed of 3 ply b/w/b plastic, with a bevelled edge. The pickup spacing and bridge holes in the guard will have to be custom of course.
Any ideas? Ash?
If what I'm imagining is correct, it will be tricky and thus pricey.
Send me a picture of what you want.

Re: Who can make a pickguard?
you mean one of these?,
http://www.guitarparts.co.nz/cart/Detai ... &category=
it might be a whole lot cheaper to reposition a couple of screwholes
if you can trace your existing pickguard and email it to me, i can tell you if it will fit.
These should be back in stock next week.
