I need a lil guidence here please. I dont have any experience with binding when it comes to DIY.
The binding has pretty much turned to a solid over time i.e wont peel of in a whole piece. I'm thinking I should just leave it on and route it off? but Im not sure how to route with a body contour... shall I grab a trimmer or something instead? and I use a shank end bearing right? (never used one).
Heres a shittty pic of this hideous shit
Binding got me in a bind.

is that the seven string body?
There are still some that think the neck PU is moved to accommodate the extra frets which only proves they cannot detect the difference in length of each.

I’d tend to scrape it off. Will take a while but will deliver a better outcome.

Heh.... I've cooked it already.
I'm just really concerned that I'll wreck the lines.
Another thing. Do I paint the gat then apply or apply/paint then sand it back?

Apply binding, scrape it flush, paint everything, carefully scrape the paint off the binding afterwards. There are some good YT vids on this process.
