GuitarMill Body?
Hi everyone,
I am thinking of doing a DIY telecaster build. I read that GuitarMill bodies are pretty good.
Anyone have any experience with their bodies? I am thinking of getting either ash/alder body and finishing it myself
Doing a budget build so want to keep the price as low as I can
Thanks!

Re: GuitarMill Body?
Are you doing the finish yourself to save money or to create something unique? just asking as there may be cheaper options out there like stratosphere parts where you can get genuine finished bodies etc...
How can I be sure I'm here?
The pills that I've been taking confuse me...

Re: GuitarMill Body?
If you want a nitro finish and don't have a spray kit at home, I'd just buy a pre-finished body...johnstratiwant wrote: ↑Thu Apr 20, 2023 7:10 pm Hi everyone,

Re: GuitarMill Body?
I have some specific specification that I like: lightweight body and two piece, so couldn't find it unless spending bit more $$

I was thinking getting spray paint from Wairau Paint Centre, apparently they have nitro spray paint based on previous forums?

Re: GuitarMill Body?
Never did a parts caster but I have seen couple of videos hahaha. I did a body refinish on a strat before with acrylic automotive spray paint and it honestly turned out pretty descent. There was alot time involved but really enjoyed it--> sanding, primer, main coat, clear coating and then dry & wet sanding & polishing by handLostininverness wrote: ↑Thu Apr 20, 2023 8:09 pmSpoken with the voice of experience ehrobthemac wrote: ↑Thu Apr 20, 2023 7:24 pmIf you want a nitro finish and don't have a spray kit at home, I'd just buy a pre-finished body...johnstratiwant wrote: ↑Thu Apr 20, 2023 7:10 pm Hi everyone,

Good on ya. Leave that nitro stuff alone. Nothing good comes of it.johnstratiwant wrote: ↑Thu Apr 20, 2023 8:18 pmNever did a parts caster but I have seen couple of videos hahaha. Re: GuitarMill Body?
I have a GuitarMill neck - it is totally awesome, but it was pricey. No experience with their bodies. Excellent service and workmanship though.
