I recon the nozzles on the WPC cans spray too thick (assume that’s where you’re getting your nitro). Last time I asked, they only had the one type.

Looking recently at videos of pros doing it online, that shit comes out super fine - they can do 4-5 passes on one line and it’s only just getting coverage.

I think you're right. This photo is taken on an angle, it's a lot more pale so far when viewed straight on.

Points:
1. The tools are all new.
2. As they are used - the wear the Asian tools is worse.
3. If you start at zero on the scales of the Asian tools, then by the time you reach the max reading, the scale marks will not line up.
4. The materials & hardness of the Asian tools are lower quality.
5. You can not get spare parts for the Asian tools & even if you could, the cost of repairs out weighs the cost of the tools.
6. You get what you pay for. The Asian tools that I get for calibration or repair always get tossed into the bin if they fail the calibration test.

TBH, my ponies were on the SK. Bang for buck, the SK spanners and ratchet/sockets I've had have been excellent steel and fit. I've had to wang on them pretty hard with improvised, galv pipe extensions to move some tractor nuts in the past without fail

I've had a Sykes Pickavant/Norbar spring/twist handle TW in the past...went ok if you nursed it, but wasn't up to workshop rigour as the handle and locking collar were plastic. I loaned it out one weekend (idiot)...add TWs to the list of 'your chainsaw and Mrs to never lend out'. Damn straight it came back fucked!

Now gone digital. Don't know if my suspicions of spring fatigue/tolerance drift is really anything to be fussed with compared to digital for some but I'm over the spring deal anyway. I've got a couple of digital Snap-Ons for the big stuff with the knuckle-joint head with makes me a bit nervous as it's another point of weakness but so long as the thing remains calibrated to itself, the torque spread across a job should still be even...capeesh?

I've a couple of small Stahwille TWs with 'detachable heads' (oo,er!) that can accept a variety of socket, OE or ring inserts for 'the more difficult to access nut jobs' JB.

It's just the crap you collect from years of fuckin' around with stuff. My main gig has never been hyper tool focused...but if you fix stuff, want to make it go faster and hang together long enough to get to the finish line, ya end up with...tools. I've been 'lucky' enough to work, pro-bono, on some projects where the main dude has paid me in sponsors' products...give a junkie his junk...I'm cool with that.
