French metric cheese grater? Or imperial USA one?
Proper dutch one, thin edge and reasonably sharp so it actually slices without too much effort. Makes for generous, consistent thickness slices that look really good on your toast. It is all about looks, right? Try the dutch cumin cheese and you will love it...

Slice, dress and eat it all in super short pants, and you are away to happiness (or may be one step away from it)

So, here's my conclusion about Gibson. They do indeed run a 628.6mm scale, however they know about said magic, and make the 12th fret, and all others relatively speaking, short to compensate. So while mathematically 314.3mm should be a 12th fret marker for a 628.6mm scale, it's more like 311mm.

Again, why is this not discussed more?
Any link for the ol guru?

Anyway, my measurement is 312mm and a tiny bit, measured at 22 degrees and ruler verified by the marble standard meter in France....

Ok.... at the risk of being pedantic. That is not a digital caliper, unless there is a secret button that pops out the digital display.

Its a very nice Mitutoyo Analogue vernier calliper, and metric too. But not digital.
So, is that low alcohol or no alcohol at all? mmmm, no alcohol, do you want to try it? Noooooooooo.

It’s called a kaasschaaf in my house. Not that I have any cheese in the house to slice with it.

Kaasschaaf is the correct word with emphasis on the guttural 'sch'. I declare you honorary dutch and from now on you are entitled to wear shorty jeans shorts.

They must be cut such that the 'leg bits' are marginally lower than the bottom of the ball sack. Ideally in freezing conditions to get the best result.

In pondering option I am now wondering whether I should route for a humbucker...because I can pretty much make anything fit within one of those routes, and I do have a particularly nice TTop with a PAF magnet looking for a new home.
