as an aside, I don't believe I have no proper cranked ring spanners any more. I had good sets in the uk and have never bought/found/needed any while over here! I had snap on ones in the uk. I hope her second fucking husband appreciates them!

I reflected today upon my socket set though. Bought back in July 2001 when I came here - so 20 years old nearly, and I still have all of them. In fact I've added to them, MX5, MR2 and Alfa specific sizes etc. Amazing, I'm usually really shit with tools :D
So, is that low alcohol or no alcohol at all? mmmm, no alcohol, do you want to try it? Noooooooooo.

JB has just exploded....

We should have a 'show your socket set' thread.

Curiously I did start a 'show your oscilloscope' thread a few years back, seriously. It didn't get much traction.

I do actually have a valve driven oscilloscope, which is why I started the thread lol. But seriously its pretty shit compared to a digital scope.

Maybe it needs JJ's and a biasing.

I have several socket sets: impact, british, metric & american.
My small american set are thin wall aircraft sockets.
You are welcome to bring the guitar over to try them out (I don't lend them out as I use them all the time for my work).
Epiphone Riviera P93 & EJ200CE, Hagstrom Viking Bass, Doubleneck bass/guitar.
Rivera Clubster 45, Carvin AG100D, Ashton BSK158.

I think I've seen that on pornhub before too.

Box spanner set is pretty cheap.
Tube amp and guitar tones straight from 1958… amazing how believable the sounds were back then, even without the modellers...

Turns out its actually an 8mm nut. After a bit of judicial carving with the hobby tool, I gained access. Lacquer cracked away from the edges but I'm not concerned about that....
