Lockdown EVH project

I quite like EVHs 78 frakenstrat, so decided to make one for a lockdown project.
The body is a rough-as-guts trademe no-name special (since this might turn out to be junk), the rest of the parts are pretty good:
10-16" compound radius neck with the large headstock https://www.soundguitarworks.com/guitar ... ck504.html
Hipshot locking tuners
EVH wolfgang pickup
Ebay single humbucker pickguard
I bought an uncut brass nut, but that turned out to be a massive pain to shape. So that'll be a job for another day/never.
The body has been hacked out for some reason. I cleaned it up a little with the router so it was less of an eyesore. It's basswood which I have nothing against, nice and light which suits my back. The neck pocket needed a tickle to fit the neck in too.
Sanded the finish back as much as I could be bothered
Coat of primer
Shaping the headstock with a router, file and sandpaper
Quick mock up
Couple coats of black
Tape job - random electrical tape and 3mm pinstripe tape from trademe
Coat of white over the tape
Tape reveal!
Dropped the saddles into some pool chlorine to grubby them up a bit.
And finished..
After a bit of setup time and settling in it has turned out really nice. Sounds the part and the neck plays really great.
