I've put out an EP! :)
Yup, I've put out a four track EP! It's been a bit of an odd experience.
It's obviously a much easier thing to do than in the days of analog tape/vinyl (oops, they're coming back though, right?) but at the same time, it's not quite the same "all grown up now" feeling as recording something used to be, when you had to go to a studio then get masters and wait and get pressed copies and wait and all that. And, like indie bands have usually found, it's not a destination, just a start.
I now have something I can show people but I still have to do all that myself.
The Travelogue E.P.
It's mostly recorded on a microphone that Bender recommended many, many moons ago, except for the last track which is me playing through a powered speaker that Polar Bear sold me, so there you go, an "it's a forum thing" moment
See if you like it.

I have only heard about a 90 seconds of the first track, not knowing what to expect from a solo acoustic bass act. Blimey, very nice! Loved the dynamic touch and percussive bits. Nicely done! Will definitely go back to check out the rest!

Vince, I really enjoyed those tracks and you're a great player. It turned my thoughts to a long dead musical friend who played ethereal electric flute. I think the two of you would have fused perfectly; makes me quite emotional thinking about it.
Play on!
Play on!
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

Great stuff Vince, listened to the first two tracks and really like your style & tone. Love the songs so put my money where my mouth is - It's the first music I've purchased for quite a while. All the best.

Very cool. I can imagine these being on a very cool movie or documentary. They are very cinematic!
They keep telling me tone is in the fingers, but I have yet to see a "look at my fingers" thread.

"Live", everything's a bit different, the songs remain the same (ha ha) but because I don't sing, I explain what the songs are about and tell stories and, often, make people laugh.
