I listened to it on some Sennheiser HD595s (pretty good headphones). On those it came across very bright and brittle in places and lacked a bit of bottom end thump? I thought it still sounded pretty good though.

Oh, and it needs more cowbell. :P

Interesting question! For those of you who don't know exactly what my rig is, what do you think of the guitar sound?

Nice one Ed! That's a really cool track 8) Vocals were just a tad loud though I thought (listening on headphones at the moment). Guitars sounded sweet :)

Also have to say that whatever you did with EZD is nothing like what it sounds like when I use it! But I do have EZMix now, so maybe that will change ;) Worked out how to split EZD into separate tracks yesterday, so I can apply a preset to every part of the kit. Time consuming FTW

Thanks Owen :) Okay so the consensus is the vocals are at least a little too loud. I'll try and fix that if I can be bothered  But it IS a demo (albeit a much nicer sounding one than my previous efforts, if I may say so myself!) so it doesn't need to be 100% but that's probably just my laziness talking. :D

Yup, EZMix makes EZD into EZ magic! I actually don't like the basic pop/rock or metal kits in EZD, the DrumCore samples I found were much better for the basic kit, so EZMix helped a lot really.

Look, most people listen to music (but not us...) on Shitty Little Speakers.

This has great energy and power.

Well done.

OK. So. Speaking of Shitty Little Speakers.

This is my debut. A protest against the listening habits of too many Kiwis.

Cool bro :)

I think if you just changed the drums slightly and varied them a little (and played half time in places, less = more) it'd make a huge difference (and I mean that in a nice way) Cool song.

Don't forget backing vocals, tambourine, 12 string overdub, piano, gospel choir etc...

I honestly had never seen/heard the Sam Kinison version before today... but it must be some weird cosmic coincidence that Richie Sambora plays that solo, I recorded the solo with a Floyd Rose equipped Fender Strat with HSS configuration, and the opening lick of the solo is a blatant Sambora rip-off

Talking to me Rob? Hit me up with a PM about the drums if you have a minute. I struggle to see where half time would fit in, but can be interesting to get a fresh perspective sometimes. But anyway, in the event that this ever gets off the ground, the actual drummer would be welcome to interpret it their way.... as long as it doesn't interfere with MY EVIL PLANS MUAHAH.
