Electrified Weissenborn + Torpedo Free speaker sim

I finally electrified my Weissenborn, it’s a super sweet sounding old acoustic, but I was astonished at how rock’n’roll it became running it into a dirty amp!

I used a real amp, my THD Univalve, but I didn’t use a speaker, I was keen to try out this plugin: http://www.two-notes.com/en/software/torpedo-pi-free/
It’s a limited version of the full software, and only has one cab, a 4x12. I reckon it sounds convincing, great for a freebie, and I might get the real software.

I also had a 57 recording the dry sound of the guitar, and I’m glad I did, the ‘electric’ side is a bit too dirty and the mic gives some nice clarity.
