Sort of sixties Scandinavian modernism. The music stand ought to be a computer terminal.codedog wrote: ↑Wed Feb 07, 2024 9:16 amAbsolutely love the aesthetics. I am not clued up on styles and aesthetics... is that art-deco-ish?StrummersOfThunder wrote: ↑Wed Feb 07, 2024 9:13 amI like the aesthetic

I’d say it’s more an attempt at mid century moderncodedog wrote: ↑Wed Feb 07, 2024 9:16 amAbsolutely love the aesthetics. I am not clued up on styles and aesthetics... is that art-deco-ish?StrummersOfThunder wrote: ↑Wed Feb 07, 2024 9:13 amI like the aesthetic

I quite like how it has a guitar amp style on off metal toggle switch rather than a plastic button
I see the newer version (sv2) has lost the chrome toggle … sad

Re: Definitely a guitar thread not keyboard related
Update on the korg sv1
Amazing machine, love the rhodes/wurli etc and the action feels spot on to me.
BUT it has low output on the right channel. Im playing it throuhg a pair of powered headrush stage monitors and they are great, and if i crank the right speaker it works out ok but I get hiss from the speaker.
So after a bit of research Ive decided the ,most likely thing is , yes of course, fucked output caps. And everyone knows how much I love recapping PCB.
So here we go again....

The slightly vexing thing is the seller claiming it had no output issues prior to shipping.
These caps are cooked my friend and that didnt happen in shipping.

Very nice machine, I was after one of these before I picked up my Roland RD64. Still wouldn't mind the upgrade to 88 keys one day.
Have to admit playing with keys and guitar makes you feel like a bit of a drummer at load in... so many bits!
