Hey guys, this band in Wellington had some of their gear stolen just the other day.

-Black 50 watt Holden amp with a tremolo
-Black AER 60 amp
-Peavey speaker cabinet
-1980 ES-175 Gibson
-Microphone 58
-Miscellaneous assortment of leads

Here's a link to their blog:

Can't imagine there are a huge number of ES-175s floating around NZ, so keep an eye out for it.

That's sad news, but they're not doing much to help themselves. The pictures of the stolen guitar appear to be a 175 and a 125(?). No serial numbers mentioned.

However by stamping 'second' on the headstock, Gibson appears to have had a rare moment of honest appraisal. :P I remember an interview with Slash who claimed his favourite Les Paul was one stamped second that he rescued from the factory.
Maybe this is a hot Gibson collectors tip. :D

I think the gibson melody maker on TM right now is a second too, at least the one just like like it that hung in kingsley smiths for yrs was.,.
I spent most of my teenage saturdays just looking at it
