So my new incoming interface comes with a copy of studio one artist, despite having paid for reaper I'm tempted to switch to this as it offers lower latency when using the presonus interfaces and the UI is so much nicer... will be fun to play around with anyway!

Isn't it quite expensive compared to Reaper?

Yes, but great when it comes free with your interface!

Is it a standalone license? I mean, if you want to move on to a different interface, will the software still work?

And what about the VSTs it didn't support?
When faced with quality, I recognise it every time.

Not sure, but I can't see myself changing interfaces again as this will future proof me for a long time :)

Ahhh so the Artist version which comes with my interface supports 3rd party VSTs, unlike the free version (prime).

Last year's Black Friday, PreSonus Studio One 5 Artist to Professional upgrades were 30% off. It seems like the last time they went up to a chungus 50% discount was back in 2019 (pre-COVID)
