Mic-ing Amps

When I started I bought a shure 57 and I still use it today (as a vocal mic now). I used to close mic and get pretty good results. I find that I now desire the character of a good room along with the character of a good amp and mic.. Just muck around and try stuff and don't buy a shure mic from trademe
