lol so the other guitarist in the band doesnt over power me with his marshall 30th aniversary half-stack, gotta crank a 100 watt solid state round to about 6-7 to keep up, but still struggle to hear me, was alrite wen he only had a solid state head.
when he use to plug up his gibson LP, the power was just insane compared to a pissy SS amp, he used his satch so he could hear me lol.

success is fleeting, but artistry lasts forever.

Nigel Tufnel: The numbers all go to eleven. Look, right across the board, eleven, eleven, eleven and...ash wrote:Back in my day, "crankin' it" mean't going all the way to 10!!Visionless_Guitarist wrote: but ive just had it outside, cranked it around to 8, wot was i thinkin
Marty DiBergi: Oh, I see. And most amps go up to ten?
Nigel Tufnel: Exactly.
Marty DiBergi: Does that mean it's louder? Is it any louder?
Nigel Tufnel: Well, it's one louder, isn't it? It's not ten. You see, most blokes, you know, will be playing at ten. You're on ten here, all the way up, all the way up, all the way up, you're on ten on your guitar. Where can you go from there? Where?
Marty DiBergi: I don't know.
Nigel Tufnel: Nowhere. Exactly. What we do is, if we need that extra push over the cliff, you know what we do?
Marty DiBergi: Put it up to eleven.
Nigel Tufnel: Eleven. Exactly. One louder.
Marty DiBergi: Why don't you just make ten louder and make ten be the top number and make that a little louder?
Nigel Tufnel: [pause] Ours go to eleven.

I generally don't. But it can be tamed with a bit of bass/mids and gain dampening. It just is a bit too compressed in a muddy kind of way, but at high volume (over 4 on the master), it actually sounds rather chunky.joshbosh wrote:ohThe Scarecrow wrote:Ah, the DSL is a different beast to the TSL though.....joshbosh wrote: you use the ultra channel?sweet as then... i don't recommend using the LEAD 2 on ultragain channel on the DSL though
