Just wondering what I should try before taking my amp to be repaired, not that I'm even sure where to take it, but that's another matter.
My Orange TH30 gets really noisy when the effects loop is in operation, I connected a single cable between the send and return and the hum was still there so definitely not my pedals, they are all good in the front. What should I try? Contact cleaner in the sockets? Replace the loop valve, is there only one valve that runs/powers the loop? Any other suggestions?

I would clean the sockets and change the valve first, its a 12AT7 in V4.

Re: orange th30 effects loop hum
Yeah, it was a dirty Jack in the end. Cleaned it up and the hum was back to normal levels.
