Mike is doing the big "exfoliating of gear" thing whilst focusing on his AC15 and actual playing...something a few us should should take on board (i.e. me)

Shame he has stripped it and is selling a wooden shell. I got DC's 1x12 here at present and that rocks.

Well, he bought it as a wooden shell, added the Gibson Goldtone so it became a combo, and now, back to a shell. It's a good cab! It must be - it's built by a non-carpenter coporate slave! I actually considered buyign it back....

Is Mike a contributor here? If so, what's his handle?

he is still a member but hasn't posted in a long long long long time - he probably only posted once or twice. I talked to him via email a few times but not spoken for a year or two. I do follow his auctions - buying and selling though

It started as this 2x12...

And for posterity, here,s the finished Double Delxue sans nameplate...

and check out the size of the rectifier! Flippin massive! That's a 12AX7 to the right, and a coppoer cap to the left (bigger than a 6V6!). Looks very impressive lighting up the back of the amp...
