I've noticed a few Australian stores are now selling Legacy amps which are re-badged Epiphones:
(In the link just change the View all brands to Legacy then click View):

The 5 watt Legacy is about $99 cheaper than the Epiphone.

Sounds like a good cheap way of getting a valve junior!Dalron wrote:I've noticed a few Australian stores are now selling Legacy amps which are re-badged Epiphones:

Its not enough that we succeed, we still need others to fail

yeah i first saw them when i was in oz hiring gear off billy hydes.. i looked round the intra webby thing and found out that they sell 3 different brand named amps, the Legacy, The epiphone, and some english company..
the legacy was about $250 australian when i was there.. i never got to check it out but luckily found out the epiphone was the same amp..
I'm just looking into swicthing the output transformer with an old fender champ one i can get from a friend down in chch..

Not sure if I mentioned it above somewhere but there's a good Epi Jnr thread here on this Aussie forum:

just make sure your not buying a version 1 .. they supposedly had alot of extra buzz and noise due to there components.. i have the version 2 and now thety are onto the version 3 already with even better noise reduction , due to some extra wiring i think and a few different caps.. and yeah guy has the Trannsformer.. he is the fender hoarder..hahaha
