Logic is the only Apple product I hate.
Cubase is easy to find for pc or Mac but as Kristie said, cheap interfaces often come with some software, usually Cubase or Ableton.

Yeah, when I went from '98 to XP I it took my ages to figure out why my free protools was no longer working. eg. Cos it is samick.bluesgeek wrote:nah protools freebie version wouldn't work, everything else I've tried does
I mostly use adobe audition at home, but intend to get cubase soon, as adobe doesn't do the MIDI thang. Have spent all day switching between Adobe and Reason to do an assignment that needs both MIDI and audio
