He's is a pretty awesome musician and songwriter. He has a very unique tone that really suits his music. I read that he swears everyone who knows how he gets his sound to secrecy. He has some very quirky licks that are damn hard to play...CustomAudioBoutique wrote:Not the Homme pickup conundrum again!
...works well with others and is progressing satisfactorily. Is sometimes off-task and could apply himself more.

When it comes to guitar amps, true Class A is a difficult one. In a way, when it comes to guitar amps, "Class A" had become a marketing term rather than a scientific/electronic term. A lot of amps are marketed as "Class A" simply because they're cathode-biased and/or single-ended - in reality a lot of these amps are Class A/B, regardless of the fact that they're cathode-biased and/or single-ended.
It's always a can of worms to stir up, but even the Vox AC30, always referred to as a Class A amp, is actually a class A/B amp, according to many knowledgeable people.
Class A doesn't mean a better amp, it's just a different mode of operation ... and as I say, these days, more of a marketing term than anything scientifically accurate.
I'm pretty sure the above post about "class B amplifiers" was a joke - correct me if I'm wrong

Especially since it comes with V30's ... I've seen some of the Jubilee series cabs loaded with G12M70's, which are not very nice at all.

i have an f50 head , 4x10 cab and an sg with 490/500t's... the 500t is my pickup of choice,i usually swap out the bridge pickups in all my gats for one.i really like it,and bought for the fact it doesn't sound like a recto but has more character than the dsl100 i used to record with.different strokes i guess...
