Best 10 inch speakers?

Post by NZ__Ninja »

what are the best sounding 10 inch speakers for anywhere for clean/blues/jazz/rock? occasionally go a bit heavier to so if they're good for that too then thats a bonus.

I reckon 9 year old Peavey Classic 50 stock speakers sound pretty good.

I've recently got a Celestion Tube 10 speaker from Custom Audio Boutique and it sounds fantastic in my Mesa Subway Rocket combo, certainly a huge improvement over the stock speaker. Nice cleans and sounds great with gain from mild to normal (or what some may call "high gain") ;)

I found the Jensen P-10 Alnico (army green in colour) to be an excellent speaker...nice break up but still loud. Best suited for rock vs say metal etc...

I have a pair of blue Jensen alnico 10s, p10R I think - took a while to break in - now they're great.

The stock Eminence 10 alnicos in my Fender CVR are nice too - a bit warmer and fuller.

Best of both worlds - one of each in the combo - one of each in the ext cab. :)
this one's special, this is the ultimate, after this i'll never need another amp, EVER...Image
