I think you ca play your guitar through it and use it as an amp,
plus it has bass and drums.

there are plenty of better programs than cakewalk. Cakewalk is for techno and hip hop.....if your a beginner try kristal (its free)

Use the podx3 you were looking at as your connection to the PC and select it as your audio input in kristal and bam your a pro

Use the POD like suggested and download Reaper. It's an easy to use DAW with everything you need. It's cheap to buy or the demo version is enough to get you started.
